About Me

Thomas was born in Waterloo, New York and soon after his family moved to Arizona where he was raised in Marana, Arizona in a small town called Avra Valley, where he now resided today after returning from service in the Army. Five-time combat veteran, nonfiction author, poet, Christian rock singer, and free-lance nature photographer; Thomas first found his way into novels through his inspirational language arts teacher in Tucson, Arizona back in 1980 at the Doolen Middle School. Now having produced some amazing work in the genre’ of horror, military, suspense, romance, and religion, and children’s books; are publishing such literary works as “Diaries of a Soldier, nightmares from within”, “What Happened to the World?”, and “Vengeance”.  Thomas then branched off into other areas and producing work from the areas of teens, children’s, forums, self-help, and more.  Thomas, now working on his first ever movie; based off his first novel “Diaries of a Soldier, nightmares from within”; Thomas plans to use this movie/documentary to help the millions of soldiers and the family members of soldiers, suffering from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and other mental disorders that our government is having difficulty treating. Thomas’s beautiful wife Dawn K. Schombert; also a major influence and supporter of his work helped designed, implemented, and trained over 15,000 + military police, civilian and DoD (department of defense) police law enforcement officers with three programs Thomas and Dawn both created in 1999 for use by local, state, federal United States and international officials, offering a faster, safer, and much more advanced training to the people involved in law enforcement and home land security; to better serve their community, themselves, and the their communities they live in, and offering a tremendous hand to the ever changing world in which we live and breathe. Now that Thomas has returned to his childhood home town of Marana, Arizona, this local author plans to inspire the reading community and more with his newest additions of hilariously funny children’s novels and much, much more.
